Dive into Sterling on the Lake

Why Realtors choose Sterling on the Lake.

11 June . 2018

Resident and Realtor Q&A

Why do Realtors end up becoming residents at Sterling on the Lake? Gary, our resident and local Realtor, shared why he chose our community and why he recommends it to others that are shopping for a new home.

Why did you choose Sterling on the Lake as your home?

The neighborhood has so many different things to offer. No matter what you enjoy doing, you can find people with similar interests. These groups include tennis, board/card games, cornhole, walking, travel, gardening, etc. The ages range from younger to older, so there is truly something here for everyone.

What kinds of home and community features were on your new home must-have list?

I wanted to move into a master-planned community that had great streetscapes and at the same time, I felt like the homes were a good investment.

What are some of your favorite community features?

Personally, I enjoy tennis and the walking trails. However, the swimming pool area is phenomenal and I know the exercise room is a big hit with others. My favorite aspect though is the feeling you get driving down the tree-lined roads. I really appreciate the effort that the developer has put in to planning for the future beauty of Sterling on the Lake. The library at the entrance is also really convenient!

Why would you recommend Sterling on the Lake to others looking for a new home?

Moving is stressful, and part of that stress is how you adjust to your new neighborhood. It’s easy to settle in and find a group and/or someone to connect with. The neighbors are super friendly. The location is very convenient to major highways and local attractions. You can get everywhere you need to go relatively easy. From a Realtor’s perspective, I have had many friends and clients who have moved from one section to another depending on their changing needs. In my opinion, that is the biggest endorsement- people love living in Sterling on the Lake.

Considering Sterling’s various neighborhoods and offerings/amenities, do you think there is something for everyone in the community? Why?

Absolutely! There are tons of things for kids to do; the playground, pool, tennis, basketball, fishing, canoeing, etc. We also have a robust senior population with a myriad of activities including, walking, tennis, car/board games, morning coffee, etc. In addition, there are groups for both singles and couples. I play on a tennis team where the ages range from the late 20s to the mid-70s and we have a blast.  There is literally something for everyone here! The home prices range from the mid $200s to $600+ so there are sections that gear more toward entry-level all the way up to luxury homes.
