| At the January 14, 2008 monthly business meeting, the Hall County Board of Education approved new district lines for Friendship Elementary, Spout Springs Elementary, and the new Chestnut Mountain Elementary. The new districts will take effect with the beginning of the next school year in August of 2008. |

Weekend activities sometimes involve tying up your shoelaces and hitting the streets for a good cause.
You'll find plenty of 5K races and smaller events for kids around your community this fall, giving yourself a chance to be active and often help raise money for those in need.
To say there's a lot going on in Flowery Branch would be an understatement.
With monster retail developments, a new library, upscale subdivisions and plans to revitalize the downtown district, the city is one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Georgia.
Gwinnett County is in the spotlight this week as professional golfers tee off at the TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth for the AT&T Classic, which runs Monday through May 20. If you're going to the tournament —- organizers say 80 percent of spectators will come from within 50 miles —- and are house hunting, there are plenty of new developments to check out. We've spotlighted a few off I-85, either on the way to Duluth or past the tournament's Sugarloaf Parkway exit into northern Gwinnett and Hall counties.
FLOWERY BRANCH – Sterling on the Lake, Flowery Branch’s premier residential community, has begun construction on 16 town homes within the community. Built by Peachtree Residential Properties, the new town homes will be priced from the low $300s to the $400s and range in size from 2,300 to 3,700 square feet.
