Resident Spotlight: Karen Miller Tinker
“Published author” can now be added to our list of inspiring residents and their accomplishments thanks to Karen Miller Tinker!
As one-half of the dynamic writing duo "2 Chicks and a Pen,” Karen is writing and publishing a series of children’s books for early readers with her co-author Beth Friese. Illustrator Jimmy Gleeson anchors this team and together they have brought the story to life in “The End.”
The children’s book is the first of the Ren & Friends series and details the adventures of Liz, Anne, Bobbi, Jane and Sunshine, a sporty, sassy group of science-oriented girls. The book begins, like the title, at the story’s end, following the group’s fun adventures through life’s ups and downs as they learn that all endings are new beginnings.
