So what’s in a name?

The Sterling on the Lake^SM community is located within the city limits of Flowery Branch. The town’s original name was Anaguluskee, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "flowers on the branch.” Stroll through the historic downtown, which dates back to 1873 when train tracks were laid from Charlotte to Atlanta, and enjoy galleries and shops within the restored buildings.
